september sunday

Oh, Midwest, you tricky little minx. I already started dressing in Fall mode, and here it was sunny, warm, and generally beautiful! At least my colors were equally sunny & cheery:

This has been featured a few times before, maybe not even that differently, but I still thought it was fun enough to share. Dress: Four Stars (size L), brown woven leather belt: thrifted, yellow tights: Gap.

spotted & striped gap goodies

After making at least 3 trips to Gap to find enough stuff worthy of spending my 50%-off Groupon on, last night I hit the gold mine. Or the navy mine, as it were.

This felt like it came together really effortlessly, much more so than yesterday.

gap city flat

I went to two different Gaps tonight to scope out merch that I might be able to use my killer 50% off Groupon on, but I only found one cardigan I really loved; and since you have to use the entire coupon at once (can’t split up your purchases like a gift card), I decided to wait and save it.

That doesn’t mean I left empty-handed, though, especially since they were throwing around 30% off coupons!

So I got this!

“What is it?” you ask? A bag! And what’s inside? Let me show you.

coral relief

Another dress you’ve seen already (about a month ago), but once again today the point isn’t in the dress itself necessarily but the accessories:

I expressed my love of this black Merona pintuck shirt dress (size M) from Target in this post, so click that if you care for the full details. And sadly, my feet are still jacked up from bites (the itches are numbing, slowly), so I’m once again in my flip-flops, which is annoying. I’d have loved to pop some color down there.

For some reason I tied the tie on the opposite side today, and I don’t know if I simply didn’t tie it tight enough or what, but I look a little wide this time, don’t I? Maybe it’s my posture. Because from another angle, it looks fine.

peacocky potato

I am one moody little potato today. Why a potato? I don’t know, maybe ’cause I’m lazy. It’s appropriate then that I’m wearing a piece of clothing I’ve had since high school, home to moody teenagers the world over. (I wasn’t moody in high school; I had fun. Nonetheless!)

Yes, I have had this peacock shirt since my days at Hononegah High. Christie McDonald (I forget her married name) had the pink version, while I went with the ~au naturel print. I think we even both wore them on the same day and laughed about it in Newspaper once. Oh, high school!

old look, new necklace & a boots how-to to boot

Nothing too special with today’s look – you’ve seen it before several times, and it’s styled only very slightly differently today:

Although I dressed for a sunny disposition yesterday, it’s back to being chilly again as we endure the bipolar rollercoaster of a Midwestern spring, so I went with a comfy-casual sweater dress and boots.

bachelorette beauties

Well! The you-pick-what-I-wear poll was a fun little experiment. I really did plan on wearing what YOU chose; however, I should’ve put a time frame on the poll. I feel bad that I didn’t end up in the winning look, but by the time I had to get dressed & going, there was a 3-way tie! It was between the zebra top & skinnies, the black ruffle dress, and the deep-V dress with medallion accents. So I simply had to just pick one.

I ended up choosing…
