With the craziness of the holidays, I haven’t been around much again – oops! Bad blogger! Hope everyone had a lovely time with friends and family. I sure did.
Here I am on the porch with our second Christmas tree (there were 3 in the house), wearing a beautiful ecru (basically white) sweater from White House Black Market (which doesn’t seem to photograph as lovely as it really is), Target jeggings, and Bandolino leather boots.
“Golly, gee, would you look at that rain?”
Wednesday was one of those glum days that needed an adrenaline shot in the form of fashion. Ok, so, perhaps a silk dress wasn’t the wisest choice for rain, what with its tendency to cling, but at least I brightened up my own environment a bit!
What wonderful news to receive on yet another sick day: I won Anyweargirl.com‘s Mad Men Time Travel Trivia contest! And the winnings are some truly chic and fantastique vintage French accessories:
Champs-Elysees beret and glam sunglasses
Check out the rest of my winnings here – I cannot wait to get them! I’m especially excited to try to rock the beret. Think I can do it? And be sure to cruise around Anyweargirl.com – it’s a new discovery for me, and I dig it.
By the way… have you voted today? :)
Regular readers of this blog may have noticed that, in addition to telling you where I got something and sometimes how much it cost, I usually also try to include what size I’m wearing. Perhaps some of you like that aspect (my roommate, for one, told me she likes it), while others may be wondering, “What’s up with that? Why does she do that?”
You might also think, since I make a point to try to include sizes, that size is obviously really important – when in fact my inclusion of it is actually to prove just the opposite (sort of). Let me explain.
10,000 hits since December 29, 2009 – and this is not an April Fools’ joke!
A sincere thanks for reading & commenting. I’m having a ton of fun. :)
Welcome to Here’s Looking at Shoes, Kid – one part “What I Wore,” one part “Let’s rip on celebs & trends,” and hopefully largely a discussion of style, color, fit, stores & sales. Thanks for checking me out!
