feelin’ groovy

Celebrating their birth year of 1970, my family had a ’70s-themed 40th birthday party for my Aunt Jackie and Uncle Jon yesterday. I tried to dress semi-appropriately!

Sorry for the weird lighting here. Just pretend it’s psychedelic or something.

Top: Los Angeles Express (size L – and ’70s-tastic polyester, oh yes!), jean shorts: Mossimo (size 10), shoes: also Mossimo.

I went to the thrift store to try to score something cool to wear and ended up leaving with only this embroidered belt that I used as a headband. I thought it was pretty ’70s, especially with the leather fringe on the ends. Leaf earrings: Target, Sacagawea pendant: Grandma’s loot.

And while this eyeliner may not be entirely era-accurate, it was fun.

Happy Birthday, Jon & Jackie!
